Hand painted mud flaps. Bought in India for my dad’s jeep. All art is not made to be framed and kept away from dirt. Beautiful.

Watching Cains Arcade, the previous link, made me think of a pair of slippers Maxime made when he was four or five, photographed by his bedside where he had placed them. Both made for a left foot to make them extra special. When I was eight and had seen a Andy Warhol exhibition I went home and nailed a banana to my red and white striped bedroom wall and invited friends for a “vernissage”. Both me and Maxime have created more elaborate childhood inventions than these since and before. Optimism and simplicity.
