Was it the tackiness or abandoning Freud and his dreams that made surrealism go “out of fashion”…
Well I have no problem with tacky and it still triggers, if not my unconscious, at least my conscious:)

I don’t know if it is a fact but I’d say out of all art movement, I think surrealism really speaks to the teenaged mind. I loved them all at thirteen. Salvador Dali, Max Ernst and Magritte where my favorites. Recently I have picked up a range of surrealism influenced work. Fun.
